Job Overview

Raycom Media is recruiting a Digital Audience Director to be based at our new Digital Content Center in Atlanta.  We’re looking for someone who can find a story in the numbers, helping our team of producers, journalists and social media experts expand our audience across multiple digital platforms.


This key position will develop and implement processes to measure the success of our content across Raycom Media’s digital portfolio, focused on providing both real-time recommendations and suggestions for long-term audience growth.  We need someone who can take the metrics from our desktop, mobile, app and social media platforms, and turn them into information which is understandable and actionable for our entire group.


As part of our leadership team, the Digital Audience Director will partner with our news, features, and social media directors to ensure we are telling great stories and growing our audience.


The ideal candidate will have:


  • 5+ years experience working with digital metrics and analytics tools
  • Expertise with Google Analytics and other real-time measurement tools, such as Chartbeat
  • Understanding of social media measurement tools such as Crowdtangle
  • Strong proficiency with industry software: Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Strategically focused on maximizing audience
  • An ability to communicate clearly (both written and verbally) across various disciplines
  • Familiarity with digital content management systems
  • Strong proficiency with industry software: Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)
