  • Job Overview

    WTOL, Toledo's News Leader, is looking for an aggressive Investigative Reporter. Must have a proven track record of breaking big enterprise stories on television and on digital. These examples should include exposing government waste as well as holding the powerful accountable. Ability to simplify complex stories is essential. Five years of reporting experience required. Investigative reporting experience preferred. Ability to shoot and edit is helpful.

     

    Qualified candidates must have the ability to quickly develop contacts and sources, work with a team of professionals, and adhere to strict ethical standards. Must have previous experience with FOIA requests and computer-assisted reporting. Candidate will also have the ability to report breaking news and quickly turn investigative sidebars on big stories.
