Raycom Media is looking for a Business Intelligence Developer to work with internal team members and corporate executives to analyze, develop, design, and modify analytical reports for business intelligence reporting. Applicant must understand and be able to develop insights into complex business data, translate user requirements into actionable visual displays, and work in a faced-paced multi-project environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work with executives and department heads to determine reporting needs
  • Design effective reports to meet requested functionality
  • Assist other self-service report designers to produce ad-hoc reports
  • Work with database administrator to optimize data queries and server efficiency

 

Requirements

  • Experience in business intelligence reporting
  • Strong report/dashboard design experience
  • Familiar with relational databases
  • Familiar with common Sales reporting requirements
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Preferences

Director CNHI IT

 

Role/Responsibilities

Lead and manage the CNHI IT department, supporting Raycom Media’s publishing division Community Newspaper Holdings, Inc. Raycom Media is looking for an IT Director to oversee all IT systems, servers, networks, and telephony, across multiple business units located throughout the United States. Position reports to the VP, Chief Information Officer. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the design, deployment, maintenance, and support of IT systems and staff, to include:
    • Help desk oversight
    • Server and desktop systems
    • Software and hardware upgrades, and life cycle management
    • Identify and recommend new technology solutions
    • Disaster recovery
  • Manage the design, deployment, maintenance, and support of Network Technology systems, to include:
    • Local Area Network
    • Overall architectural strategy for LAN, IP schemas
    • Network management
    • Internet architecture
    • Edge security – Firewalls
    • Wireless networking
  • Manage the deployment, maintenance, and support of telephony systems, to include:
    • Phone system design, installation, and maintenance
    • Telecom circuit installation, and billing
    • Cellular carrier management and billing
  • Assist in planning, implementing, and managing the CNHI capital and operating budget.
  • Travel may be required once or twice a month; frequency and duration dependent on project needs.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Be self-motivated and able to make decisions. Manage workload independently, efficiently, and with minimal supervision. Must be a leader who influences others through positive collaboration and builds strong relationships.

 

Candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer, Information Science or 5-10 years of directly related work experience. Candidate should also have supervisory experience in an IT environment, ideally in print media. Microsoft Windows and Cisco Network certificates highly desirable.

He or she must be a leader in the newsroom and excel at breaking news coverage from the studio and in the field.

 

The candidate must also be aggressive and consistent with coverage online and with social media on all platforms. He or she must be skilled to shoot & edit their own stories and employ digital first strategies. Candidate must have at least 3 to 4 years of reporting experience. Depending on the candidate, weekly Sunday morning newscast anchoring could be added in regular assigned duties. Director of Travel and Tourism

 

This position offers an exciting opportunity to have a far-reaching impact on Raycom Media’s ambitious growth agenda. The successful candidate will work to facilitate the growth of the travel and tourism category both inside and outside the Raycom footprint. 

 

The ideal candidate will be regionally based out of a major market, within the Raycom Media footprint, such as: Charlotte (NC), Louisville (KY), or Birmingham (AL).  This position is a specialized role that requires at least 5 years of specific travel and tourism industry knowledge with at least 3 years of prior experience at the management level. The successful candidate must have digital and broadcast product knowledge, exceptional organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal), and be proficient in Microsoft Office.

 

Additional responsibilities will include (but not be limited to): making presentations, writing proposals, conducting workshops, contract review with new and existing clients, competitive analysis and the ability to travel (approximately 30%). This position requires a drug screen, valid driver’s license, clean MVR, and college degree. Professional appearance, demeanor and a positive attitude are required.

WSFA 12 News has an immediate opening for a part-time News Content Specialist. Education: College degree required from an accredited College or University, majoring in Communications or Journalism or be a junior or senior in college on course to graduate.

Experience: Minimum 1-2 years experience with television broadcasting and social media. Working with JVC camera equipment, ENPS computer system as well as BitCentral non-linear editing is a plus. Skills/Abilities: Must be a strong writer, able to work teleprompter, studio camera, audio, switcher and contribute to wsfa.com, Twitter & facebook. Must work well under pressure and daily deadlines. Must have good creative and editorial judgment and understand journalistic ethics and libel laws.

 

Flexible work hours required, including holidays, weekends, evenings and possible overtime hours. Ability to lift loads up to 50 lbs.
